Do you have boxes of old negatives or slides in storage somewhere?  Do you know that they are not going to last forever?  Preserve your precious memories digitally before they deteriorate and are lost.

Weigold Photography offers high resolution slide and film scanning.  Bring us your boxes of slides or envelopes of negatives.  We’ll clean them if necessary and perform a high resolution scan of the image on our specialized slide and film scanner.  Once we’ve scanned the images for you, we’ll provide the high resolution images on a data CD or DVD and return the slides or negatives to you in archival quality slide or negative storage sheets suitable for use in a binder or other storage medium.

Each image will be individually reviewed and will be named consistently with any labeling on the slide or negative strip.  Images are currently provided at 2400 dpi.  Additional resolutions will be available in the future.

Basic pricing is $0.50 per image.  Minimum order is $25.00.  Basic service includes archival quality slide or negative holders, data CD or DVD, basic image check and limited image correction.   Images will be the raw scan size unless the image crop option is specified.

Additional options:

• Image crop – add $0.05 per image
• Color correction – add $0.10 per image
• Basic image retouch – add $0.50 per image (includes color correction and basic dust/blemish removal)
• Advanced image retouch – add $1.00 per image (includes color correction and more detailed blemish correction)
• Damage repair – quoted based on extent of damage to original slide or negative

Note that the above options are only charged on images which require the specified services.  Final retouch results are dependent on the quality of the original image.

Budgeting Option

At Weigold Photography, we realize that money is often tight and archival of precious memories can be expensive.  To ease this, we offer our budgeting option.  Bring in your slides and negatives, and let us know how much you want to spend on archival services monthly.  We’ll work on your project on an ongoing basis while limiting the monthly charges to the amount you specify, and provide the results to you as the work is completed.  A $25.00  minimum monthly amount and recurring credit card billing agreement are required.
